Have you ever been in the middle of your BAS or final draft of a report due tomorrow when your computer suddenly blue screened?
Has the main reception computer got a blue or black screen at 9.30am? Sometimes, people panic and think the whole computer is toast… but often this issue can be fixed economically and quickly without losing your work.
What is a blue screen or black screen error message?
A Blue Screen of death (or black screen) is a serious system error also known as a stop error. It is commonly due to a driver or software installation conflict or hardware issue.
Consider: Did you just do an update or install? If you did, you can try restarting in safe mode and uninstalling or rolling back the update.
Restart your computer. If it starts normally, take the next available opportunity to ensure you have a back up of any files you need and copies of your software licences and passwords. It doesn’t mean the issue is fixed, but just operating – for now.
Can Saunders IT fix it?
Saunders IT will run a series of tests to determine if the issue is hardware or software and advise you on the most economical way forward.
